Elaine M. Attridge serves as Vice Chair of the Board and Operations for EIT 2.0, a privately held 48-year-old engineering firm based in Leesburg, Virginia. She also serves on the board of EIT 2.0 Properties, which manages real estate holdings. In addition, she is President of The May Family Foundation, where she oversees the foundation’s philanthropic strategy and grantmaking.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Attridge served as General Faculty in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing at the University of Virginia and held multiple roles at the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library. There, she supported the information and research needs of UVA Health related to quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based medical practice. She has co-authored articles published in medical journals and presented numerous papers on the evolving role of libraries in healthcare and clinical practice.
Ms. Attridge is active in several educational and nonprofit organizations. She serves as Vice Chair of the Loudoun Laurels Foundation, where she chairs the Scholarship Selection Committee. She also serves on the board of Loudoun Now and previously served on the advisory board of the Virginia Tech College of Engineering. Her community leadership has also included roles with Women United in Philanthropy, 100WomenStrong and CASA.
Ms. Attridge earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, a Master of Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Mary Baldwin University, where she was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.
Ms. Attridge and her husband, Josh, live in Charlottesville, Virginia. They have two sons and a daughter.
